Job Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic and empathetic Senior Human Resources Manager to lead our human capital initiatives in Yambio. This role is critical to our success in South Sudan, as you will be responsible for aligning our workforce strategy with our long-term business objectives. You will oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition and onboarding to performance management and succession planning. This position requires a deep understanding of local labor laws and international best practices in human resources. As a key member of the leadership team, you will provide expert guidance to department heads on complex organizational issues, ensuring that our workforce remains motivated, compliant, and highly skilled to meet the evolving demands of the professional services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that support business goals and organizational culture.
- Lead recruitment and selection processes to attract top-tier professional talent in the South Sudan market.
- Oversee payroll administration, benefits management, and compensation structures to ensure market competitiveness.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Drive organizational development through training programs and leadership development initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with South Sudanese labor laws and international regulatory standards.
- Analyze HR metrics to provide actionable insights to the executive leadership team.
Required Skills
- Advanced expertise in strategic human resource planning and organizational design.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in English and local languages.
- Strong analytical capabilities for managing complex HR data and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of South Sudanese employment legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage diverse teams in a high-pressure professional services environment.
Education
A Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field is mandatory. Professional certification such as SHRM-CP or CIPD is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in human resources management, preferably within a professional services or multinational corporate environment. Proven experience in managing large-scale HR operations in East Africa is a significant advantage.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 1,200,000 SSP to 2,500,000 SSP, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance during the probationary period.
