Job Overview
The Senior Renewable Energy Project Finance Analyst will lead financial structuring, modeling, and risk assessment for large‑scale renewable projects in South Sudan. This role is pivotal in securing financing, managing investor relations, and ensuring compliance with international financial standards. The analyst will collaborate with engineering, legal, and operations teams to deliver financially robust projects that align with TotalEnergies’ sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for solar, wind, and hybrid projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cash‑flow analysis, and sensitivity testing.
- Prepare investment memoranda, pitch decks, and term sheets for lenders and equity partners.
- Coordinate due‑diligence processes, including legal, technical, and environmental reviews.
- Negotiate financing terms with banks, development agencies, and private investors.
- Monitor project financial performance, variance analysis, and reporting to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with TotalEnergies’ financial policies and South Sudanese regulatory requirements.
- Support the preparation of ESG reports and sustainability metrics for stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling software (Excel, VBA, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of renewable energy market dynamics and financing structures.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to interpret complex legal and contractual documents.
- Fluent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or local languages is a plus.
- Proven track record of closing multi‑million dollar renewable finance deals.
Education
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized university. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or FRM are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to financial excellence.
Experience
Applicants must have at least ten years of experience in project finance, with a minimum of five years dedicated to renewable energy projects. Experience working in emerging markets, particularly in Africa, and familiarity with South Sudan’s regulatory environment will be considered a strong advantage.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 25,000,000 to SSP 35,000,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and long‑term incentive plans are also part of the total rewards structure.
