Job Overview
The Project Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in structuring, evaluating, and managing financing solutions for renewable energy projects across South Sudan. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance, the analyst will collaborate with internal teams, external lenders, developers, and government agencies to assess project viability, conduct financial modeling, and prepare comprehensive investment memoranda. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed financial models for renewable energy projects, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses, and risk assessments.
- Conduct due diligence on project sponsors, technology providers, and regulatory frameworks to ensure robust investment decisions.
- Prepare investment memoranda, pitch books, and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with legal, tax, and technical experts to structure financing packages that meet both bank and client requirements.
- Monitor ongoing project performance, track key financial metrics, and prepare periodic reports for senior management.
- Assist in negotiating loan terms, covenants, and security arrangements with counterparties.
- Stay abreast of market trends, policy developments, and emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector.
- Support the development of internal guidelines and best practices for renewable energy project financing.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel, with experience in VBA or other analytical tools preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting technical information to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory environments in Africa.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or an MBA with a focus on finance or energy are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in project finance, investment banking, or corporate finance, with a proven track record of working on renewable energy or infrastructure projects. Experience within emerging markets, particularly in Sub‑Saharan Africa, will be viewed favorably.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 15,000,000 to SSP 25,000,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a retirement savings plan.
