Job Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance Manager will lead Nestlé South Sudan’s quality assurance function, ensuring that all products meet rigorous internal standards and comply with national and international food safety regulations. Reporting directly to the Regional Quality Director, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate closely with production, R&D, and supply chain departments. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned with ISO 22000, HACCP, and Nestlé’s Global Food Safety standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are identified, tracked, and resolved promptly.
  • Supervise a team of quality engineers, auditors, and technicians, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with production managers to design and execute preventive controls, reducing non‑conformities and waste.
  • Analyze quality data, generate trend reports, and drive root‑cause investigations to improve product consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with South Sudanese food regulations, as well as export requirements for regional markets.
  • Manage supplier qualification and ongoing performance monitoring to guarantee raw material integrity.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma projects and best‑practice sharing.

Required Skills

  • Deep knowledge of food safety standards (ISO 22000, HACCP, GFSI) and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in statistical process control tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team‑building capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven project management experience, especially in implementing quality initiatives.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or local languages is an advantage.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or HACCP Practitioner are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing sector, with at least three years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in multinational environments and familiarity with Nestlé’s quality frameworks are advantageous.

Salary
