Job Overview
The Regional Retail Operations Manager will lead all operational aspects of Jumia’s Aweil hub, overseeing inventory management, supply chain coordination, store partner relations, and performance analytics. Reporting to the Country Operations Director, you will be responsible for driving efficiency, optimizing costs, and delivering an exceptional customer experience across the region. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute operational strategies that align with Jumia’s regional growth targets and South Sudan market dynamics.
- Manage end‑to‑end inventory processes, including forecasting, replenishment, warehousing, and order fulfillment.
- Lead a team of warehouse supervisors, logistics coordinators, and customer service agents, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Collaborate with local retail partners to onboard new stores, negotiate service level agreements, and ensure compliance with Jumia standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, delivery lead time, stock‑out rates, and customer satisfaction, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee budget planning, cost control, and financial reporting for the Aweil hub.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory requirements specific to South Sudan.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analytics, process mapping, and lean methodologies.
- Represent Jumia in local business forums, government meetings, and community outreach programs to strengthen brand presence.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and people‑management abilities with a track record of building effective teams.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data‑driven decision making.
- Deep understanding of retail supply chain, inventory control, and e‑commerce logistics.
- Proficiency with ERP and warehouse management systems; experience with Jumia’s proprietary platforms is a plus.

- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or local dialects is advantageous.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with additional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Lean Six Sigma are highly regarded.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in retail operations, preferably within an e‑commerce or multi‑channel environment. Prior experience managing a regional hub or large‑scale distribution center in an emerging market is essential.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 12,000,000 SSP to 18,000,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based incentives, health benefits, and a retirement savings scheme.
