Finn Church Aid (FCA) is seeking a dedicated and innovative Education Officer to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and quality improvement of education programmes across South Sudan. Key Responsibilities
Programme Planning & Implementation
- Support implementation of education projects in schools and communities.
- Coordinate education activities in line with donor requirements and organizational objectives.
- Ensure timely delivery of learning materials and educational resources.
- Assist in developing annual work plans and implementation schedules.
- Support inclusive education initiatives for vulnerable and marginalized children.
Teacher Training & Capacity Building
- Organize and facilitate teacher training sessions.
- Support school leadership development programmes.
- Strengthen classroom management and teaching methodologies.
- Promote learner-centred approaches and quality education standards.
- Mentor teachers and education facilitators in target communities.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Conduct routine school monitoring visits.
- Track programme indicators and education outcomes.

- Collaborate with parent-teacher associations and school committees.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Educational Planning, Curriculum Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
- Master’s Degree in Education Management, Educational Leadership, or Development Studies is advantageous.
- Teaching certification or professional education qualification preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in education programming.
- Experience working with NGOs, development agencies, or humanitarian organizations.
- Knowledge of education systems and policy frameworks.
- Experience in teacher training and capacity development.
- Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles.
