Job Overview

The Senior Logistics Operations Manager will oversee all operational aspects of freight forwarding and supply chain activities in Malakal. Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, you will be responsible for optimizing processes, managing a diverse team, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and DHL’s quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of logistics coordinators, customs agents, and warehouse staff to achieve operational targets.
• Develop and implement efficient freight forwarding processes, reducing transit times and costs.
• Ensure strict compliance with South Sudanese customs regulations, safety standards, and DHL’s internal policies.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to provide accurate shipment tracking and proactive issue resolution.
• Analyze performance metrics, generate reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage relationships with local carriers, port authorities, and government agencies to secure reliable transport links.
• Oversee budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation for the Malakal operation.

Education

Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of eight years of progressive experience in logistics operations, with at least three years in a supervisory or managerial role.
