Job Overview
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst will lead the design, optimization, and execution of end‑to‑end supply chain processes for Maersk’s operations in Bor and the surrounding region. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the analyst will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure seamless movement of goods, accurate forecasting, and cost‑effective solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain advanced demand forecasting models to predict cargo volumes and seasonal fluctuations.
- Analyze transportation routes, warehouse capacities, and inventory levels to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with local carriers, customs authorities, and port operators to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes.
- Prepare detailed performance dashboards and KPI reports for senior leadership.
- Support the implementation of digital supply chain tools, including ERP and TMS platforms.
- Collaborate with humanitarian agencies to align logistics solutions with emergency response needs.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Experience in logistics planning, freight forwarding, or supply chain optimization.
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or local languages is a plus.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Project management expertise with a track record of delivering results on time.
- Familiarity with customs regulations and trade compliance in East Africa.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or PMP are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.
Experience
Candidates must have 5‑7 years of progressive experience in supply chain analysis, preferably within a multinational logistics firm or a large-scale humanitarian operation. Experience in emerging markets, especially in Africa, will be considered an advantage.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 30,000,000 to SSP 45,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and allowances aligned with Maersk’s global remuneration framework.
