Job Overview

The Humanitarian Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring logistics activities that support WFP’s emergency and development programmes in the Eastern Equatoria region, based out of Torit. The role involves coordinating the movement of food, non‑food items, and equipment from central warehouses to field locations, ensuring compliance with WFP standards and donor requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute logistics plans for food and non‑food deliveries, including route optimisation and mode selection.
• Coordinate with transport contractors, customs authorities, and local partners to ensure timely clearance and movement of goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and initiate replenishment orders as needed.
• Monitor and report on logistics performance indicators, ensuring compliance with WFP policies and donor regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building support to field staff and local partners on logistics best practices.
• Manage emergency response logistics, including rapid deployment of supplies during crises.
• Prepare logistics reports, situation updates, and risk assessments for senior management.
• Ensure safety and security protocols are adhered to throughout the supply chain.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of humanitarian logistics, supply‑chain management, and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.

Education

Salary
