Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor complex international and domestic freight movements to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage relationships with local transporters, customs agents, and port authorities to streamline operations.
- Analyze logistics data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for cost-efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with South Sudanese import/export regulations and international maritime laws.
- Prepare detailed logistics reports for regional management, tracking KPIs and shipment statuses.
- Collaborate with the procurement and warehouse teams to synchronize inventory flow with transport schedules.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Logistics Management Systems (LMS) and ERP software.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to manage unexpected supply chain disruptions.
- Strong communication skills in English; local languages are a significant advantage.
- Deep understanding of Incoterms, customs documentation, and international shipping protocols.
- High level of organizational skill and attention to detail in managing high-volume documentation.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certifications such as CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) are highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain coordination, preferably within a multinational corporation. Proven experience operating within the East African logistics corridor is a major plus. Salary
