The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for international public health. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Specialist to join our team in Yambio, South Sudan.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders on environmental health issues, including water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) and vector-borne diseases.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders on environmental health issues, including WASH and vector-borne diseases.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of environmental health programs and services.
- Develop and implement environmental health policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other WHO departments and partners to ensure a comprehensive approach to environmental health.
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Health or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in environmental health, including experience in WASH and vector-borne diseases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other stakeholders.
Education
The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Environmental Health or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience
The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in environmental health, including experience in WASH and vector-borne diseases.
Salary
The salary for this position is SSP 50,000 – 70,000 per month.
