Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Conservation Specialist to join our team in Kapoeta, South Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing conservation projects, collaborating with local communities, and promoting sustainable land-use practices.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental conservation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement conservation projects to protect and restore natural habitats
- Collaborate with local communities to promote sustainable land-use practices and conservation efforts
- Conduct field assessments and monitoring to evaluate project effectiveness
- Develop and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and NGOs
- Provide technical guidance and support to project staff and partners
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation, with a focus on project implementation and community engagement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
