Job Overview
WorldRemit South Sudan is seeking a dynamic Digital Payments Specialist to drive the adoption of digital financial services in Nimule. This role will focus on expanding our mobile money and digital wallet solutions to support local commerce and cross-border transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement digital payment solutions tailored to Nimule’s market needs.
- Collaborate with local partners to integrate mobile money platforms with retail and SME ecosystems.
- Monitor transaction data to identify trends and optimize payment system performance.
- Provide technical support and training to users and partners on digital wallet functionalities.
- Ensure compliance with national financial regulations and international security standards.
Required Skills
- Expertise in digital payment systems (mobile money, e-wallets, APIs).
- Strong understanding of financial inclusion challenges in emerging markets.
- Experience with cross-border transaction protocols and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in English and local languages (Dinka, Nuer) preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in Financial Technology or Digital Innovation is an asset.
Experience
- 3-5 years in digital payments, fintech, or financial services sectors.
- Proven track record in deploying payment solutions in rural or low-infrastructure environments.
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP annually, with performance-based incentives.
