Job Overview

BBC Media Action is seeking a dynamic Digital Content Creator to produce engaging multimedia content that supports our mission in South Sudan. This role will focus on creating digital assets for online platforms, social media, and community outreach programs in Kuajok and surrounding regions. The ideal candidate will combine creative storytelling with technical expertise to drive audience engagement and support local development goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce high-quality digital content (videos, infographics, podcasts) for BBC Media Action’s platforms
• Collaborate with local communities to co-create content that reflects their stories and priorities
• Develop social media strategies to increase visibility of BBC Media Action’s work in South Sudan
• Conduct digital literacy workshops for community members and partner organizations
• Monitor and analyze audience engagement metrics to optimize content performance

Required Skills

• Proficiency in digital content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Audacity)
• Strong understanding of multimedia storytelling techniques
• Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, TikTok)
• Fluency in English and local South Sudanese languages (Dinka, Nuer preferred)
• Ability to work independently and in cross-cultural teams

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Communications, Digital Marketing, or related field. Additional certifications in digital content creation or community engagement are advantageous.

Experience

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in digital content creation, preferably in a development or humanitarian context. Experience working in South Sudan or neighboring regions is a strong plus.

Salary

100,000 – 150,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
