Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead our large-scale solar and wind energy initiatives in Western Equatoria. This role is critical to our mission of expanding clean energy access in South Sudan. The successful candidate will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and site assessment to construction, commissioning, and final handover. You will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in strict accordance with international safety and environmental standards.
This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise in renewable energy systems and robust project management skills. You will act as the primary point of contact for local stakeholders, government officials, and international partners. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of renewable energy projects, including solar PV and wind turbine installations.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement processes to ensure financial efficiency.
- Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and construction teams to maintain project timelines.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure site safety and operational continuity.

Required Skills

- Strong leadership and ability to manage diverse, multicultural teams in remote environments.

Education
A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field is required. A Bachelor’s degree with significant specialized experience may be considered in exceptional cases.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in large-scale energy project management, with at least 3 years specifically focused on renewable energy technologies. Proven experience working in developing regions or complex logistical environments is highly desirable. You should have a track record of successfully delivering multi-million dollar infrastructure projects.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 1,200,000 SSP to 2,500,000 SSP, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance during the probationary period.
