Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Water Resources Manager to join our team in Yambio. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing sustainable water resources management projects in South Sudan.
The Sustainable Water Resources Manager will work closely with our team to develop and implement strategies for improving access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene in South Sudan. This will involve working with local communities, governments, and partners to identify and address water resources management challenges.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water resources management, with experience in project management, community engagement, and stakeholder management. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable water resources management projects in South Sudan
- Work with local communities, governments, and partners to identify and address water resources management challenges
- Manage and coordinate project activities, including community engagement, stakeholder management, and project monitoring and evaluation
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and partners
- Provide technical assistance and support to project teams and partners as needed
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Water Resources Management or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in water resources management, with a focus on project management, community engagement, and stakeholder management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
Education
Master’s degree in Water Resources Management or related field
Experience
8-12 years of experience in water resources management, with a focus on project management, community engagement, and stakeholder management
