Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Conservation Specialist to join our team in Maridi, South Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing conservation projects, collaborating with local communities, and promoting sustainable land-use practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement conservation projects in collaboration with local communities and stakeholders
- Conduct field assessments and monitoring to evaluate project effectiveness
- Collaborate with local government agencies and NGOs to promote sustainable land-use practices
- Develop and maintain relationships with local communities and stakeholders
- Provide technical assistance and training to local communities and stakeholders
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Fluency in English and local languages
