Job Overview

SSCEC is seeking an experienced Urban Infrastructure Development Consultant to lead the design and implementation of sustainable urban development projects in Rumbek. This role will focus on integrating modern construction techniques with community needs to create resilient infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee urban infrastructure projects including roads, water systems, and public facilities
• Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments
• Collaborate with local communities to align projects with regional development goals
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with national and international construction standards

Required Skills

• Proven experience in urban planning or civil engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of sustainable construction practices
• Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work in remote and challenging environments

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in infrastructure development projects, with a focus on urban planning or civil engineering. Prior experience in South Sudan or East African region is an advantage.

Salary

150,000 – 200,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
