Job Overview
This role leads the design and implementation of technical education programs in Kajo-keji, South Sudan. The position requires collaboration with local technical colleges, industry partners, and government agencies to develop curricula that meet labor market demands. Candidates will manage training facilities, coordinate with international education experts, and ensure compliance with British Council quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver vocational training programs in partnership with local institutions
- Conduct needs assessments to identify priority sectors for skills development
- Design training materials aligned with international technical education standards
- Manage relationships with industry stakeholders for practical training placements
- Monitor program effectiveness through participant performance metrics
- Prepare quarterly reports for British Council headquarters and local partners
Required Skills
- Proven experience in technical education program management
- Strong understanding of South Sudan’s vocational training landscape
- Excellent cross-cultural communication abilities
- Proficiency in curriculum development software (MS Office, LMS platforms)
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred
- Fluency in English and local languages (Dinka, Nuer) is an asset
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Technical Training, or related field
- Master’s Degree in Education or Vocational Training preferred
Experience
- Minimum 3 years managing technical education programs in developing countries
- Experience working with international NGOs or government education departments
Salary
150,000 – 200,000 SSP monthly, commensurate with experience
