Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Sustainable Water Resources Manager to join our team in Maridi, South Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our water resources management program, ensuring that our WASH interventions are sustainable, and that we are making a lasting impact on the lives of South Sudanese people.

The Sustainable Water Resources Manager will work closely with our team of WASH experts, government officials, and community leaders to develop and implement sustainable water resources management strategies that meet the needs of our target communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of sustainable water resources management strategies that meet the needs of our target communities.
  • Work closely with our team of WASH experts, government officials, and community leaders to ensure that our WASH interventions are sustainable and effective.
  • Develop and manage budgets for water resources management programs, ensuring that we are using our resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of our water resources management programs, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure that our water resources management programs are aligned with national and local priorities.
  • Required Skills
  • Master’s degree in Water Resources Management or related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in water resources management, with a strong focus on sustainable development and community engagement.
  • Proven track record of leading water resources management programs, with a strong focus on sustainability and impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions to complex water resources management challenges.
  • Education

    We are seeking a candidate with a Master’s degree in Water Resources Management or a related field. A Ph.D. in Water Resources Management or a related field would be an added advantage.

    Experience

    We are seeking a candidate with at least 8 years of experience in water resources management, with a strong focus on sustainable development and community engagement. Experience in leading water resources management programs, with a strong focus on sustainability and impact, would be an added advantage.

    Salary

    The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of 50,000 – 70,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
