We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist to join our team in Maridi, South Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable aquaculture projects that improve the livelihoods of small-scale fish farmers and contribute to the development of the aquaculture sector in South Sudan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable aquaculture projects that improve the livelihoods of small-scale fish farmers
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for sustainable aquaculture development in South Sudan
- Collaborate with local stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners, to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture projects
- Provide technical assistance and training to small-scale fish farmers on sustainable aquaculture practices
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of sustainable aquaculture projects on the livelihoods of small-scale fish farmers
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Aquaculture or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in sustainable aquaculture development
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Fluency in English and local languages
