Job Overview

SolarAid is seeking a Solar Energy Systems Engineer to lead the design, installation, and maintenance of solar energy systems in Wau, South Sudan. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize solar energy systems tailored to community needs, including off-grid solar installations and hybrid systems.
  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations for solar projects.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar energy systems in collaboration with local technicians.

Education

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in solar energy project development, preferably in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Experience working with NGOs or international development organizations is preferred.

Salary

An annual salary ranging from 180,000 to 250,000 SSP, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
