Job Overview

The Senior Mining Engineer will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and optimization of our mining operations in Renk. This position requires a high level of technical expertise in pit design, mineral processing, and mine planning. You will be responsible for overseeing complex engineering projects, ensuring that all extraction processes are efficient, safe, and compliant with international environmental standards. Key Responsibilities

• Advanced proficiency in mining software such as Surpac, Micromine, or Deswik.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities in high-pressure environments.
• Exceptional communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and local authorities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international mining safety standards (ISO/OHSAS).

Education

A Master’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory. A Bachelor’s degree with significant specialized experience may be considered in exceptional cases.

Experience

A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in large-scale mining operations is required. Proven experience in the African mining sector or similar emerging markets is highly desirable. You must demonstrate a track record of managing complex engineering projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Salary
