Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Logistics Fleet Manager to oversee our extensive vehicle fleet and logistics operations in Wau. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies to optimize vehicle utilization and reduce operational costs.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair schedules for all heavy-duty vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with international standards.
  • Manage a large team of drivers, dispatchers, and technicians, providing leadership and performance monitoring.
  • Analyze fuel consumption, vehicle wear and tear, and maintenance costs to identify areas for efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinate with regional suppliers and vendors to ensure timely availability of spare parts and fuel.
  • Ensure strict adherence to South Sudan transport regulations and international safety protocols.
  • Utilize advanced telematics and GPS tracking systems to monitor vehicle movement and driver behavior in real-time.
  • Prepare detailed monthly reports on fleet performance, cost-per-kilometer, and operational efficiency for senior management.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certifications in Fleet Management or Project Management (PMP) are highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics or fleet management, with at least 3 years in a senior supervisory role. Proven experience operating in East African or similar challenging logistical environments is essential. Experience with heavy-duty commercial vehicles (Scania, Volvo, or similar) is a significant advantage.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 1,200,000 SSP to 2,500,000 SSP, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance during the probationary period.
