Job Overview
The Senior Hospitality Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the new Marriott property in Juba, overseeing all operational departments including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, engineering, and security. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pre‑opening phase, including recruitment, training, and implementation of standard operating procedures.
- Manage day‑to‑day hotel operations to achieve guest satisfaction scores of 90% or higher.
- Develop and control the annual budget, monitor financial performance, and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local regulatory requirements.
- Drive revenue growth through effective pricing strategies, upselling, and partnership development.
- Foster a culture of service excellence, employee engagement, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote the property and attract both leisure and business travelers.
Required Skills
- Proven leadership in managing full‑service hotels with 150+ rooms.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or local languages is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, multicultural environment.
- Expertise in implementing Marriott’s brand standards and technology platforms.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Hotel Administrator) are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in hotel operations, with at least three (3) years in a senior management role overseeing multi‑departmental functions. Experience in emerging markets or post‑conflict regions is advantageous.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 3,500,000 South Sudanese Pounds (SSP) per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a housing allowance.
