As part of its East Africa expansion, NP is seeking a highly experienced Safeguarding Advisor to strengthen safeguarding systems, PSEA compliance, child safeguarding standards, organizational accountability mechanisms, and risk management frameworks across regional operations.

Position Summary

The Safeguarding Advisor will provide strategic and technical leadership for safeguarding implementation across East Africa country programs. Educational Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Human Rights, International Development, Social Work, Psychology, Law, Protection Studies, Public Policy, or related discipline.
  • Specialized safeguarding, PSEA, protection, or child safeguarding certifications preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 7–10 years of humanitarian or development experience.
  • At least 5 years dedicated to safeguarding, PSEA, protection, or accountability.
  • Experience supporting multi-country safeguarding systems.
  • Proven experience managing safeguarding investigations.
  • Strong understanding of donor safeguarding requirements.
  • Experience working in conflict-affected environments.
