Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all Nestlé products manufactured or distributed in South Sudan meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality systems, conducting audits, and collaborating with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 quality management systems.
- Conduct regular internal audits and supplier inspections to verify compliance with Nestlé standards and local regulations.
- Perform product sampling, laboratory testing, and data analysis to identify deviations and initiate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues, implement root‑cause analysis, and drive preventive measures.
- Prepare and submit detailed quality reports, trend analyses, and compliance documentation to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Support new product introductions by reviewing specifications, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring readiness for market launch.
- Train and mentor staff on quality procedures, hygiene practices, and documentation standards.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of South Sudanese food safety regulations and international standards.
- Participate in cross‑functional projects aimed at improving process efficiency and product quality.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and local food safety regulations.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and quality software (e.g., Minitab, SAP QM).
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven approach.
- Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or local languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with audit preparation and execution.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or HACCP Practitioner are highly desirable.
Experience
Applicants should have 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience in quality assurance or food safety within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food & beverage sector.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 250,000 to 400,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and benefits are also part of the compensation package.
