Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geophysics Research Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in geophysics, including the analysis of seismic data, gravity data, and magnetic data. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing new research methods and techniques, as well as collaborating with colleagues to advance our understanding of the Earth’s systems.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Geophysics and at least 5 years of experience in research and development. You will be a strong communicator and team player, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
As a Geophysics Research Scientist at the University of South Africa, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including:
- Conducting research in geophysics, including the analysis of seismic data, gravity data, and magnetic data
- Developing and implementing new research methods and techniques
- Collaborating with colleagues to advance our understanding of the Earth’s systems
