Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Conservation Specialist to join our team in Kapoeta, South Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing conservation projects, working with local communities, and promoting sustainable development in the region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation biology, or a related field, with at least 8 years of experience in conservation and development work.
The position will involve working closely with local stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and NGOs, to develop and implement conservation projects that benefit both people and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement conservation projects that benefit both people and the environment
- Work with local communities to promote sustainable development and conservation practices
- Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to develop and implement conservation policies and strategies
- Conduct field research and monitoring to assess the effectiveness of conservation projects
- Develop and manage project budgets and reports
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- At least 8 years of experience in conservation and development work
- Strong background in conservation biology, ecology, or a related field
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with local stakeholders
Education

Experience
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in conservation and development work, with a strong track record of developing and implementing successful conservation projects.
Salary
The salary for this position is 100,000 – 150,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
