Job Overview

The Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating actionable threat intelligence to protect Cisco’s customers and internal assets in South Sudan. Working closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC), incident response teams, and regional partners, you will identify emerging threats, develop intelligence reports, and recommend mitigation strategies. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor global and regional threat feeds, dark web sources, and vulnerability databases to identify relevant risks.
  • Analyze malware samples, phishing campaigns, and intrusion attempts targeting South Sudanese networks.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and ad‑hoc intelligence reports tailored to Cisco’s customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the SOC to enrich incident investigations with contextual threat data.
  • Develop and maintain threat intelligence dashboards and knowledge bases using Cisco’s security platforms.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to mitigate identified threats and improve security controls.
  • Participate in regional cybersecurity forums, workshops, and capacity‑building initiatives.
  • Stay current with the latest attack techniques, threat actor tactics, and industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in threat hunting, malware analysis, or cyber‑crime research.
  • Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report creation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud environments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with regional threat landscape in East Africa is a plus.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with a Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GCTI are highly preferred.

Experience

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity threat intelligence, incident response, or a comparable role. Experience working with multinational teams or in emerging markets adds significant value.

Salary
