Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Geoinformatics Specialist to join our team in Nimule, South Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing GIS solutions for various clients, as well as providing training and support to end-users.
The Geoinformatics Specialist will work closely with our team of experts to identify business needs and develop customized GIS solutions that meet those needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geoinformatics, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
As a Geoinformatics Specialist at Esri South Sudan, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from mapping and spatial analysis to data visualization and web development. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement GIS solutions for various clients, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations
- Provide training and support to end-users on GIS software and techniques
- Conduct spatial analysis and mapping to identify trends and patterns in data
- Develop data visualizations and reports to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with our team of experts to identify business needs and develop customized GIS solutions
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Geoinformatics or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in GIS software development, data analysis, and spatial modeling
- Strong background in geoinformatics, including spatial analysis, mapping, and data visualization
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in ArcGIS software, including ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
Education
Master’s degree in Geoinformatics or related field from a recognized university
Experience
8-12 years of experience in GIS software development, data analysis, and spatial modeling, with a strong background in geoinformatics
Salary
120,000 – 180,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
