Job Overview
This role leads agricultural development initiatives in Juba, supporting smallholder farmers through training, resource distribution, and project coordination. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement agricultural training programs for farmers
- Conduct field assessments to identify community needs
- Coordinate with local partners to distribute seeds, tools, and resources
- Monitor project impact through data collection and reporting
- Advocate for policy changes to support sustainable farming practices
Required Skills
- Expertise in crop production and soil management
- Strong project management and budgeting skills
- Bilingual proficiency (English and local language preferred)
- Experience with climate-smart agriculture techniques
- Ability to work in remote, resource-limited environments
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Rural Development, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred but not required.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in agricultural development, with at least 1 year in South Sudan or neighboring regions. Prior experience managing USAID or EU-funded projects is an advantage.
Salary
150,000 – 200,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
