Job Overview
The Senior Insurance Underwriting Manager will lead the underwriting function for Allianz’s commercial and personal lines in South Sudan. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement underwriting guidelines for a diverse range of insurance products, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and Allianz’s risk appetite.
- Lead a team of underwriters, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development plans.
- Conduct complex risk assessments for high‑value commercial accounts, including infrastructure, agriculture, and manufacturing sectors.
- Collaborate with the actuarial department to develop pricing models that balance competitiveness with profitability.
- Monitor portfolio performance, analyze loss ratios, and recommend corrective actions to maintain underwriting discipline.

Education

Experience
Candidates must possess at least ten years of progressive experience in insurance underwriting, with a minimum of five years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Experience in emerging markets, particularly within Africa, will be viewed favorably.
Salary
The compensation package includes a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,000,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the overall remuneration structure.
