Job Overview

The Senior Hydrogeologist will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing sustainable groundwater management strategies across the region. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive groundwater flow modeling and aquifer testing to determine sustainable yield.
  • Supervise the technical design and construction of deep-well boreholes and solar-powered water systems.
  • Perform detailed geochemical analysis of water samples to ensure compliance with WHO drinking water standards.
  • Lead environmental impact assessments for large-scale water infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with local government authorities to integrate technical findings into regional water management plans.
  • Mentor junior hydrologists and field technicians in advanced data collection methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in groundwater modeling software such as MODFLOW or FEFLOW.

  • Strong project management skills with experience in remote field operations.

  • Deep understanding of South Sudanese environmental regulations and water laws.

Education

Salary
