Job Overview

The Senior Field Service Engineer – Heavy Equipment will lead a team of technicians in delivering installation, maintenance, and repair services for Caterpillar’s heavy machinery across the Upper Nile region. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a field service team to deliver high‑quality installation, commissioning, and maintenance of heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on Caterpillar machines, minimizing downtime.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for key customer assets.
• Provide on‑site technical training and knowledge transfer to customer operators and local technicians.

Education

A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as Caterpillar Service Technician (CST) or equivalent are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in heavy equipment service, with at least three years in a supervisory or lead engineer role. Experience in the African market, particularly in the construction or mining sectors, will be considered an advantage.

Salary
