Job Overview
The Senior Cybersecurity Incident Responder will play a pivotal role in our Security Operations Center (SOC) in Juba. This position is designed for a highly skilled professional who thrives in high-pressure environments and possesses a deep understanding of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). You will be responsible for leading the response to complex security incidents, conducting deep-dive forensic investigations, and providing strategic guidance to clients to mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex incident response engagements from detection to remediation.
- Perform deep-dive digital forensics on endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.
- Analyze malware samples and reverse-engineer malicious code to understand attack patterns.
- Develop and implement containment and eradication strategies for active breaches.
- Collaborate with threat intelligence teams to proactively hunt for emerging threats.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior security analysts within the SOC.
- Create detailed post-incident reports for stakeholders and executive leadership.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) methodologies.
- Deep understanding of Windows, Linux, and macOS internals and file systems.
- Expertise in network traffic analysis and protocol inspection.
- Strong ability to automate repetitive tasks using Python or PowerShell.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills under intense pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical findings into business impact.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Advanced certifications such as GIAC (GCFA, GCIH), CISSP, or OSCP are highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in cybersecurity incident response or digital forensics. Proven experience working in a high-volume Security Operations Center (SOC) or a specialized incident response firm is essential. You should have a track record of successfully managing large-scale security breaches and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 1,200,000 SSP to 2,500,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s expertise, certifications, and previous experience in the field.
