Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly organized and strategic Procurement and Supply Chain Officer to join our growing operations in Wau. This role is critical to our mission of providing seamless logistics solutions within the region. Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, from sourcing and vendor selection to contract negotiation and final delivery.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize costs and ensure the availability of essential supplies.
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance against established KPIs to ensure quality and reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, invoices, and inventory movements within the ERP system.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate the movement of goods and minimize lead times.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and local South Sudanese legal requirements.
Required Skills
- Advanced negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
- Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical skills for demand forecasting and cost-benefit analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for managing diverse stakeholder relationships.
- Deep understanding of international shipping terms (Incoterms) and local customs regulations.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the logistics or manufacturing sectors. Proven experience working in East Africa or similar emerging markets is a significant advantage.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 850,000 SSP to 1,200,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. This competitive package reflects the importance of this role within our regional operations.
