Job Overview
The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager will lead Heineken’s quality initiatives at the Nasir production facility. This role is pivotal in establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving food safety systems, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and safeguarding the brand’s reputation for excellence. The manager will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including production, procurement, and regulatory affairs, to embed a culture of quality throughout the operation.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Food Safety Management System (FSMS) aligned with HACCP, ISO 22000, and local regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular internal audits, risk assessments, and gap analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, ensuring timely resolution of non‑conformities.
- Oversee supplier qualification, monitoring, and performance evaluation to guarantee raw material safety.
- Train and mentor production staff on best practices in hygiene, sanitation, and quality control.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to validate new product formulations and ensure they meet safety standards.
- Prepare and submit accurate compliance reports to government agencies and corporate headquarters.
- Manage documentation, record‑keeping, and traceability systems to support audit readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Represent Heineken in external stakeholder meetings, industry forums, and certification bodies.
Required Skills
- In‑depth knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and local food safety legislation.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross‑functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Project management expertise, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or local languages is an advantage.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Food Safety Professional (CFSP) or HACCP Lead Auditor are highly desirable.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least five years of progressive experience in food safety and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the beverage or food processing sector. Experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams and leading large‑scale compliance projects is essential.
Salary
The successful candidate will receive a competitive annual salary ranging from SSP 1,200,000 to SSP 1,800,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and benefits are included in the total compensation package.
