Job Overview
We seek an experienced E-Commerce Platform Developer to design and implement digital marketplaces for South Sudanese SMEs. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom e-commerce platforms using PHP/Python frameworks
- Integrate mobile money payment systems (MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money)
- Implement responsive design for low-bandwidth environments
- Collaborate with local artisans to digitize product catalogs
- Ensure compliance with South Sudan’s Data Protection Act
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Laravel/Flask frameworks
- Experience with WooCommerce or Shopify Plus
- API integration expertise (REST/SOAP)
- Knowledge of JumiaPay or Mpesa APIs
- Strong problem-solving in low-resource environments
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
- Certification in E-Commerce Development (optional)
Experience
- 3-5 years developing e-commerce platforms
- Previous experience in East/Southern Africa preferred
Salary
500,000 – 700,000 SSP monthly, commensurate with experience
