Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement disaster risk reduction (DRR) strategies for vulnerable communities in Yambio.
• Conduct needs assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify priority areas for intervention.
• Collaborate with local governments, NGOs, and community leaders to coordinate emergency response plans.
• Train community members in early warning systems, first aid, and disaster response protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of DRR initiatives using standardized metrics.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in disaster risk management or humanitarian response.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing climate and conflict-related risks.
• Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in GIS mapping tools for disaster modeling (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS).
• Ability to work in remote, resource-limited environments.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, or related field.

Salary
