Job Overview
This role is critical for ensuring Microsoft South Sudan maintains compliance with international data privacy regulations while supporting regional technology projects. The position requires expertise in safeguarding sensitive information for both corporate clients and government partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data privacy policies aligned with GDPR and local South Sudan regulations
- Conduct regular audits of data handling practices across Microsoft’s operations in Kauda
- Provide training to staff on data protection protocols and cybersecurity best practices
- Collaborate with legal teams to address compliance risks in technology deployments
- Monitor emerging data privacy trends and recommend system upgrades
Required Skills
- Certification in Data Protection (CDP) or equivalent
- Proficiency in IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST)
- Experience with cloud data management systems
- Strong analytical skills for risk assessment
- Bilingual (English and Dinka preferred)
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity or Data Law (preferred)
Experience
- 3-5 years in data privacy roles within technology sectors
- Previous experience in South Sudan or neighboring African countries (advantageous)
Salary
150,000 – 250,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
