Job Overview
The Learning Experience Designer will be responsible for creating engaging, culturally relevant, and standards‑aligned digital learning experiences for K‑12 students and adult learners across South Sudan. Working closely with curriculum specialists, subject matter experts, and technology teams, you will design interactive modules, multimedia content, and assessment tools that reflect local contexts while meeting international quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and prototype interactive e‑learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy, cultural relevance, and alignment with South Sudan’s national curriculum standards.
- Integrate multimedia elements—including video, audio, graphics, and simulations—to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from teachers and learners to iteratively improve learning experiences.
- Develop assessment strategies, including formative quizzes and summative evaluations, that provide actionable insights for educators.
- Maintain a repository of reusable learning assets and ensure compliance with accessibility guidelines.
- Support the localization of global Pearson content for South Sudanese audiences, including translation coordination and contextual adaptation.
- Stay abreast of emerging educational technologies, pedagogical trends, and best practices to continuously innovate Pearson’s product offerings.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, or similar).
- Strong command of e‑learning authoring tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or local languages is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional and multicultural teams.
- Analytical mindset with experience in data‑driven decision making and learning analytics.
- Creative problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPLP, ATD) are highly desirable.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of professional experience designing digital learning solutions for K‑12 or adult education, preferably within emerging markets or low‑resource settings.
Salary
The annual salary range for this position is SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 3,500,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
