Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Geomorphologist to join our team in Torit, South Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading geomorphological assessments and providing technical guidance on conservation projects.

The Senior Geomorphologist will work closely with our conservation teams to identify and prioritize areas for conservation, develop and implement conservation plans, and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these plans.

Key Responsibilities

Lead geomorphological assessments and provide technical guidance on conservation projects

Develop and implement conservation plans, including habitat restoration and species reintroduction

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of conservation plans and make recommendations for improvement

Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote conservation efforts

Develop and manage budgets for conservation projects

Required Skills

Master’s degree in Geomorphology or a related field

At least 8 years of experience in geomorphological assessments and conservation planning

Strong technical skills in geomorphology, including experience with remote sensing and GIS

Excellent communication and project management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Education

The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Geomorphology or a related field from a recognized university.

Experience

The successful candidate must have at least 8 years of experience in geomorphological assessments and conservation planning, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Salary

The salary for this position is 60,000 – 90,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
