Job Overview

We are seeking an Environmental Monitoring Specialist to join our team in Torit, South Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing environmental monitoring programs to assess the impact of human activities on the environment. This will involve working closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to develop and implement monitoring protocols, collect and analyze data, and provide recommendations for conservation and sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement environmental monitoring programs to assess the impact of human activities on the environment
  • Work with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to develop and implement monitoring protocols
  • Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of conservation and sustainable development initiatives
  • Provide recommendations for conservation and sustainable development based on data analysis and monitoring results
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote conservation and sustainable development

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in environmental monitoring and conservation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
