Job Overview
The Agronomy Research and Development Specialist will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing agronomic research trials and experiments to improve crop yields and farmer productivity in South Sudan. The successful candidate will work closely with farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders to develop and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement agronomic research trials and experiments to improve crop yields and farmer productivity
- Collaborate with farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders to develop and promote sustainable agricultural practices
- Collect and analyze data on crop performance, soil health, and water use efficiency
- Develop and disseminate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in agronomic research and development
- Strong knowledge of agronomic practices, crop management, and soil science
- Excellent data analysis and communication skills
