Job Overview

The BIM Coordination Specialist will lead the implementation and management of BIM processes for construction projects in the Kapoeta region. Reporting to the Project Management Office, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure accurate 3D models, clash detection, and data integration throughout the project lifecycle. This position plays a critical role in enhancing project efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring compliance with international standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain BIM execution plans aligned with project goals and client requirements.
  • Coordinate BIM models across disciplines, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
  • Conduct clash detection analyses and facilitate resolution meetings with design and construction teams.
  • Provide BIM training and support to project staff, subcontractors, and local partners.
  • Monitor BIM standards compliance and implement best practices for model management.
  • Generate construction documentation, schedules, and quantity take‑offs from BIM models.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Office to integrate BIM data into project controls and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender packages and technical specifications that incorporate BIM requirements.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360 platforms.
  • Strong understanding of construction workflows, MEP, structural, and civil engineering disciplines.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in multicultural teams and adapt to challenging field conditions.
  • Knowledge of international BIM standards such as ISO 19650.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required. Advanced certifications in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of five years of hands‑on BIM coordination experience on large‑scale construction projects, preferably in emerging markets or remote locations. Prior experience working with international engineering firms is an advantage.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 25,000,000 to SSP 35,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based incentives and allowances for field assignments.
