Job Overview

The Junior Data Privacy Analyst will support Mastercard’s Data Privacy & Compliance department in Kajo Keji by assisting with the implementation of privacy frameworks, monitoring data handling activities, and conducting risk assessments. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of the Data Privacy Management Framework for Mastercard South Sudan.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) for new products, services, and system changes.
• Monitor data processing activities to ensure compliance with GDPR, local data protection laws, and internal policies.
• Support incident response efforts by documenting privacy breaches and coordinating remediation actions.
• Maintain records of data processing activities (ROPA) and update them regularly.
• Collaborate with legal counsel to draft and review data processing agreements and consent mechanisms.
• Provide privacy awareness training and guidance to employees and partners.
• Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
• Stay informed about emerging privacy regulations and industry best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of data protection principles, GDPR, and local privacy legislation.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with privacy management tools is a plus.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/AF, or CIPM are advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

Applicants should have 2‑4 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, risk management, or a related field. Experience in the financial services or fintech sector is highly desirable, as is prior exposure to regulatory environments in emerging markets.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 15,000,000 to SSP 25,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and annual salary reviews are part of the compensation package.
