Job Overview
The Senior Risk Advisory Consultant will lead complex risk assessment engagements for public and private sector clients operating in South Sudan. The role involves designing and implementing risk frameworks, conducting thorough audits, and delivering actionable insights that enable clients to mitigate financial, operational and regulatory risks. You will work closely with senior partners, cross‑functional teams and local stakeholders to ensure that risk strategies align with both international best practices and the specific regulatory environment of South Sudan. This position is pivotal in strengthening KPMG’s reputation for delivering high‑quality advisory services and will directly support the firm’s mission to drive sustainable growth and resilience across the region. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end risk advisory engagements, from planning and scoping to execution and delivery.
- Develop and customize risk assessment frameworks tailored to the unique operational environments of South Sudanese clients.
- Perform detailed financial, operational and compliance audits, identifying control gaps and recommending remediation measures.
- Collaborate with senior partners to present findings and strategic recommendations to C‑suite executives and board members.
- Mentor junior consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Stay abreast of local regulatory changes, geopolitical developments and industry trends that impact risk landscapes.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including white papers, webinars and industry workshops focused on risk management in emerging markets.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of translating complex risk concepts into clear business language.
- Proficiency in risk management tools and software, such as RSA Archer, SAP GRC or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or local languages is an advantage.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CRMA, or CISA are highly preferred and will be considered a strong differentiator during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of seven years of relevant experience in risk advisory, internal audit, compliance or management consulting, preferably within the African market. Experience working with multinational clients or on cross‑border projects is advantageous.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 1,500,000 to 2,500,000 South Sudanese Pounds (SSP) per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a retirement savings plan.
