Job Overview
The Senior Geophysicist will be responsible for leading a team of geophysicists in the acquisition and processing of seismic data, and for providing geophysical expertise to support drilling and completion operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geophysics, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of geophysicists in the acquisition and processing of seismic data
- Provide geophysical expertise to support drilling and completion operations
- Develop and implement geophysical methods and techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of drilling and completion operations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that geophysical data is integrated into the overall drilling and completion plan
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Geophysics or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in geophysics, with a strong background in seismic data acquisition and processing
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Geophysics or a related field, and will have completed a recognized geophysical training program.
Experience
The successful candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in geophysics, with a strong background in seismic data acquisition and processing. They will have a proven track record of leading teams and providing geophysical expertise to support drilling and completion operations.
Salary
The salary for this position is 120,000 – 180,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
