We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Agronomy Specialist to lead our field research initiatives in Bor. This role is pivotal in driving innovation in crop production and soil management to enhance food security in the region. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute large-scale field trials to test new seed varieties and fertilizer applications.
- Analyze soil health data and provide recommendations for sustainable land management.
- Collaborate with local farming cooperatives to implement climate-smart agricultural techniques.
- Lead a team of field technicians and research assistants in data collection and monitoring.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
- Monitor pest and disease outbreaks and develop integrated pest management strategies.
Required Skills

Education
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a closely related agricultural field is required. A PhD is highly preferred for this senior-level position.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least 7 years of professional experience in agricultural research, preferably in sub-Saharan Africa. Proven experience in managing field-based research projects and leading technical teams is essential for success in this role.
Salary
